Vijayawada: Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao came down heavily on TDP leaders for making false campaign against the Centre in the name of telephone tapping. Speaking to media here on Wednesday, he said the BJP was not afraid of false propaganda and asked the TDP leaders to reveal the details of scams if they have evidences in this regard.

Stating the Centre didn't tap the phone calls of any TDP leaders, he asked them as to why they were worrying about the investigation by agencies.
Reiterating that it was the TDP culture to tap the phones of other party leaders, he blamed the state government for tapping the phone calls of AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana.

The phones of various leaders and prominent persons in the state were being tapped by the state government, he alleged and added the party has clear evidence in this regard. He wondered as to how the Planning Board vice-chairman C Kutumba Rao alleged that the Centre indulged in various scams. He slammed the state government for appointing a share broking person as planning board vice-chairman.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was investigating the Air Asia scam issue, he said and added that the truth would come out soon. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was concentrating on politics only instead of development, he said and added the government was wasting huge public money without following proper guidelines.

Stating that the state government did not give land for Krishnapatnam industrial hub and Vizag-Chennai corridor, he said nearly two lakh job opportunities would have come if the government allotted land to those projects. AP BJP general secretary Jammula Shyam Kishore, senior leader U Srinivasa Raju and several leaders were also present.
