On Wednesday, YSRCP MPs YV Subba Reddy, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Varaprasad, P Mithun Reddy and YS Avinash Reddy met Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and appealed that their resignations be accepted.

Replying to them, the speaker told them that their resignations would be accepted. Later, the five MPs said that there was no going back on their resignations. They said that an official announcement woud be expected by Wednesday evening. The YSRCP MPs have also demanded that the Speaker take a decision on the defection of MPs SPY Reddy, Kothapalli Geetha and Butta Renuka.
