A review meeting was organised in the temple premises on Friday.

Tirupati: As the annual Brahmotsavams of the famous temple of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy at Appalayagunta, 20 km from here is scheduled from June 23 to July 1, TTD Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, instructed the heads of various departments to make arrangements for the smooth conduct of the nine-day religious event. A review meeting was organised in the temple premises on Friday.

The JEO instructed the Civil and Electrical wings to set up pandals, necessary barricade, rangoli, electrical illuminations and other decorations to give a touch of festive look in the temple and surroundings. Later, the EO directed the Garden Wing Superintendent to make floral decorations in a befitting manner matching the occasion.

He instructed the Annaprasadam Special Officer Venugopal to distribute Annaprasadam to devotees during the big fete and Additional Health Officer Dr Sunil Kumar to make necessary sanitary arrangements and water distribution to pilgrims. “Utilise the services of Srivari Sevakulu for Annaprasadam, water Distribution and manning devotees in the temple as well during Vahana Sevas,” he added.

On the security, the JEO directed VGO Ashok Kumar Goud to utilise the services of Scouts and Guides to maintain security. He also instructed the HDPP, Dasa and Annamacharya Projects to send best artistes to perform during Unjal Seva.

The JEO further said, the annual fete will commence with Dhwajarohanam on June 23 and the important days includes Kalyanotsavam on June 26, Garuda Seva on June 27, Rathotsavam on June 30 and Chakrasnanam on July 1. Temple Special Grade Deputy EO Munirathnam Reddy and others were present.
