He said the delay was due to inking of MoU with Singapore government for capital city development, which will be a turning point in the state history. Naidu, who was visibly impressed over the serene and clean ambience of the village said that the village Vanam looks so beautiful that he wants to stay here itself for peace and tranquillity and added that efforts are on to enhance the income levels of everyone in the village where a supply channel is coming up soon providing water for irrigation and drinking water.

The village witnessed remarkable progress with Fibrenet facility for the villagers to see their children in the USA and talk to them happily through the dependable net connection and also watch their favourite movies in their leisure time while virtual classroom was also arranged in the school through which children learn well and improve academically, Naidu observed.

In the same breath, he said that in view of all these facilities everyone should cooperate with the government and bless him by teaching a strong lesson to YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for hobnobbing with communal BJP.

The villagers too in a merry mood, thanked the Chief Minister for extending the supply channel to the village and sought sanction of a community hall and compound wall to the school in the village which was then and there sanctioned by Naidu amidst loud cheers. The Chief Minister due to time constrain cut short his interaction in the village where it lasted only about 5 minutes.

Chandrababu reached the 11-star rated village which is one among 77 such villages in the district Chandramakulapalli in Punganur constituency on Thursday. He went around the streets of the village on foot, as women welcomed him with traditional 'aarati' at several places. He enquired with the villagers about development activities being implemented as part of 11-star programme before reaching the venue of Grama Sabha.

In the Grama Sabha, a pregnant woman P Navaneetha spoke and explained the services the women are availing from Anganwadi and also PHC benefiting them. Naidu later announced Chandramakula as 11-star village. Sarpanch of the village Varuna Kumari presided the Grama Sabha in which Ministers K Atchannaidu, N Amaranatha Reddy and N Lokesh, District Collector PS Pradyumna, Constituency in-charge and Sericulture Joint Director Aruna Kumari and others took part.

The panchayat has 9 habitations with a population of 3,258. Under 11-star village programme, the village has LED streetlighting, fibrenet, gas, roads, greenery and Anganwadi centres. On this occasion, the Chief Minister has inaugurated the solid waste management plant also in the village.
