District rugby players felicitated
Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh has wished good luck for the district rugby players, who are participating in the state-level senior rugby tournament to begin on Friday here. The MP participated in the players felicitation programme at his residence here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesh said that winning and losing is common in any games. State Rugby Association Secretary C Ramanjaneyulu has said that all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of two-day state-level championship. The athletes, who are taking part in the tournament were provided accommodation at Adarsha Vidya Mandir.
Later, TG announced the names of the players who are representing the Kurnool district. In the women’s category; Keerthi, Salomi, Sandhya, Chitti Bai, Chandrakala, Shamida Begum, Sathwika, Lakshmi, Suvarna, Dharani and Usha.
In the men’s category; Srinivasulu, Raghavendra, Venkatesh, Saleem, Rajasekhar, Krishna, Ravi Teja and Giri Kumar. District Association President Surendra; District Yoga Association Secretary Avinash Shetty; Physical Education Teacher Jyothi and other senior players were present.
