Employers warned over Child Labour
MLC Ramu Surya Rao (RSR Master) has said that child evolution is possible only when the child labour system is eradicated in society.
Eluru: MLC Ramu Surya Rao (RSR Master) has said that child evolution is possible only when the child labour system is eradicated in society.
He along with Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy released wall posters on child rights at Collectorate here as part of Navanirmana Deeksha and World Day Against Child Labour organised by District Child Rights Forum.
Addressing the gathering, the MLC said that no child should work in society and the people should think about the eradication of child labour. He said that due to poverty, several families were forcing the children to work.
Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy warned that any shop or industry engaged children in hazardous work or using as bonded labour would be dealt with sternly.
He also warned of cases against the guilty. He reiterated that the children below the age of 14 years should attend the school and not to work.
District Revenue Officer K Satyanarayana, NIC District Officer Sarma, Chief Planning officer Suresh Kumar, Child Rights Forum president Herald Babu, Social Welfare Joint Director Rangalakshmi Devi participated in the programme.
