The Chintur police in East Godavari arrested one Muchika Laxmaiah (24) alias Boringumpu Laxnaiah at Chintur bordering Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
Kakinada: The Chintur police in East Godavari arrested one Muchika Laxmaiah (24) alias Boringumpu Laxnaiah at Chintur bordering Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
According to East Godavari SP Vishal Guuni, Laxmaiah, a native of Pusupalli in Sukuma district of Chattishgadh had been involved in Maoist activities in four murder cases and 20 extremist cases.
Laxmaiah who studied up to Class IV was influenced by Khammam district Maoist leader Azad, Sunil and Kaka of Sabari Dalam and for the last four years worked as Militia Commander.
He participated in Maoist activities under Chintur police station limits, the SP said.
On a tip off, the Chintur police arrested him on early hours of Thursday at Edugurallapalli, the SP added.
