Monsoon hits AP, Telangana as scheduled

The Indian Meteorological Department in Hyderabad stated in a press release that the Southwest monsoon has arrived in Telangana on Friday as per schedule and will be covering the entire state.

The release said, "Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 24 hours. Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Telangana during next 24 hours.”
Several districts in the two Telugu states have already received moderate rain.
As per the IMD, the rainfall activity from June 15 to June 21 is expected to be less than normal in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
