Guntur: Social Welfare Commissioner M Rama Rao has said helping needy is doing service to society.
He was speaking at the SM Hostel Guntur alumni meet held here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he recalled his college days when he was staying in the hostel.
He said that there was a need to conduct alumni meet for better relations. He felt very happy that his hostel mates were well-settled.
AP Civil Supplies Corporation director G Ravi Babu also remembered his college days and greeted his hostel mates. All the students recalled their hostel days.
They recollected memories such as how they did hard work and progressed in their life.
Later, they felicitated M Rama Rao, G Ravi Babu and others.
