Tigers S Rayavaram lifted the Professional Football Super League Championship-2018 defeating Gnanapuram Stars here on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Tigers S Rayavaram lifted the Professional Football Super League Championship-2018 defeating Gnanapuram Stars here on Saturday.
Eight teams fought for the championship and matches were held from May 31 to June 9 at the Diamond Jubilee Port Stadium.
Chief guest and MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju presented the rolling trophy to the winning team. Yellapu Raghuram and Suresh Babu gave away the runners-up trophy. CEO of Visakha Ads PLK Murthy and V Sivaprakash gave away the award to Seamen's Eleven which bagged third place.
Vishnukumar Raju said he is happy to see that interest is being generated in sports and assured the organisers of his support to all sporting events.
Plans are being prepared to construct the state-of-the-art indoor stadium at Madhavadhara, the MLA added. Chairman of the tournament Dr SV Adinarayana Rao and other members Dr Adams, KVSV Prasad, B Swami Naidu, P Kondala Rao, Lakshmipathi and S Pratap were present.
