MLA promises buildings to Anganwadi Centres

Kakinada: City MLA V Venkateswara Rao has promised to strive for construction of own buildings for all Anganwadi centers in Kakinada.
Participating in the inauguration of ICDS (Integrated Child Development Society) building at Sambamurthy Nagar, the MLA said the dairy farm center was taken up at a cost of Rs 52 lakh on Saturday the MLA promised on construction of buildings for Anganwadi centres.
The MLA said that a healthy society would emerge if women and children were healthy.
In order to strive for this, the government had taken up nutritious food supply at Anganwadi centers throughout the state.
On his part he would do the needful for buildings to Anganwadis to cater to the needs of the targeted section of society, he added.
MLC Chikkala Ramachandra Rao and Mayor Sunkara Pavani also spoke at the event.
Child Development project officer P Savior welcomed the guests and gathering.
