Kaushal Godavari helps to guide unemployed youth

Kakinada: Vikasa, the outsourcing agency that guides the unemployed in choosing right carrier, popularly known as ‘Kaushal Godavari’ is one of its kind institution in AP and Telangana states, functions under the overall supervision of East Godavari administration.

Started as child labour welfare organisation more than a decade ago, Vikasa moulded youth in choosing right career as per their qualifications. As per the wish of the then district collector Neetu Kumari Prasad, four years ago in 2014, the activities of employment started by the organisation.

The agency does not collect any consultancy fee from candidates and provide working lunch for candidates who attend for its selections. Because of this free and trusted consultancy, several candidates from neighbouring Telangana state also attend for selections.

Till June this year, in total 48,256 candidates were provided employment in various sectors. In 2017-18 out of 28 mega job melas and 52 mini melas at different places in the district, 15,678 candidates were selected out of 39,617.

Kaushal Godavari nodal officer V N Rao said the companies which attends for selection of candidates pay us 3 per cent commission on net salary offered to selected candidates.

“We will not collect any money or registration fee from candidate who attend job melas. The district administration monitors our activities at regular intervals.” he said.
