8 of Robbers Gang held, `49 lakh worth Property Recovered
The Ramachandrapuram sub-division police in East Godavari arrested eight-member gang and recovered property worth of Rs 49 lakh which includes 1,263 grams of gold jewellery, Rs 5.6 lakh in cash, 950 grams of silver articles and electronic goods.
Kakinada: The Ramachandrapuram sub-division police in East Godavari arrested eight-member gang and recovered property worth of Rs 49 lakh which includes 1,263 grams of gold jewellery, Rs 5.6 lakh in cash, 950 grams of silver articles and electronic goods.
According to East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni, the gang was arrested in connection with 19 robbery and house-breaking cases in Ramachandrapuram sub-division.
The arrested include Gollavilli Santosh, R Rajendra Prasad, M Naga Raju, T Madhu, T Manohar Reddy, G Veerababu, M Chinababu and M Srinu.
The SP said that the gang conducts recce during daytime and attempt the burglary during night after selecting locked and lonely houses.
The gang committed the burglaries in Rajamahendravaram city suburbs also.
The SP complimented Kakinada CCS police and Ramachandrapuram sub-division police officer Santosh for their active role in arresting the gang and in recovery of property.
