MLA Bonda Ummaheswara Rao distributes Ramzan Tofa packets
Central MLA Bonda Ummaheswara Rao and the local TDP corporator Yerubotula Sravani distributed the Ramzan Tofa packets to the local Muslims at New RR Pet on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: Central MLA Bonda Ummaheswara Rao and the local TDP corporator Yerubotula Sravani distributed the Ramzan Tofa packets to the local Muslims at New RR Pet on Wednesday.
The state government is distributing the Tofa packets comprises wheat flour, sugar, semiya and ghee.
Speaking on the occasion, Umamaheswara Rao said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had introduced Ramzan Tofa with the intention of distributing wheat, sugar and semia so that even the poor Muslims can celebrate the festival with gaiety.
He said the state government would construct Haj House in Vijayawada and develop burial grounds in Arundelpet with Rs 2 crore. The MLA greeted the Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan.
Former TDP floor leader Yerubotula Ramana and other local TDP leaders were present on the occasion.
