Prakasam police receive two ABCD awards
Prakasam district police received the second and third prizes in the Above and Beyond Call of Duty (ABCD) Awards announced for the March and April months. DGP M Malakondaiah presented the awards to Ongole and Chirala DSPs and their team members at the police headquarters in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

The DGP presented the ABCD award to Ongole DSP B Srinivasa Rao, Ongole One Town CI Md Firoz, SI Nayab Rasool, IT Core team members Ravi and Janardhan for nabbing a team of inter-state burglars.
The burglars from Madhya Pradesh were involved 17 cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including five consecutive thefts at RIMS Hospital quarters. The DGP presented second prize in the ABCD awards with a certificate and reward of Rs 10,000 to police personnel.
Similarly, Chirala DSP Dr Prem Kajal, Inkollu CI Seshagiri Rao, SI V Rambabu, IT core team members Raju and Subhani for arresting a man who is harassing a woman by creating a fake Facebook account and posting obscene pictures of her. The DGP presented the third prize in the ABCD awards with a certificate and Rs 10,000 reward to each of the officials.
SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu announced that Prakasam district police received six ABCD awards, including two on Tuesday, since the induction of them. He appreciated Ongole and Chirala sub- divisional police personnel and asked the others to draw inspiration from them in delivering best service in duty.
