Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh Unemployed Joint Action Committee leaders took out a rally from Daba Gardens to Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC) demanding that the state government announce age relaxation for recruitment.

Speaking on the occasion, Andhra Pradesh Unemployed Joint Action Committee president S Hemanth Kumar demanded that the government fill up 1,42,000 posts which are lying vacant.

The GO No. 622 and 623, which support to conduct Group-II, along with Group-I, in descriptive mode should be cancelled and Group-II should be conducted in objective type like before and also the GO No. 39 in recruiting panchayat secretary on a contract basis should be cancelled.

The recruitment of teaching and non-teaching on an outsourcing basis under the supervision of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)should be cancelled. He also demanded that the government release the notification for recruitment of junior lecturers. If the state government neglects and fails to resolve the unemployed youth problems, they would intensify the stir against the government, they warned.
