Though the South West monsoon was set on across the state by June 9 there is no good rain fall recorded in the first spell. In fact, according to the weather calendar, during the first spell of South West monsoon rains, the water will be evaporated due to the dried soil and in the second spell of rains the water will be visible on the surface.

However, even at the end of June second week, highest temperatures are recorded in the state crossing 40 degrees Celsius. During in the past three days, the people have been suffering with the scorching heat with dry spells, temperatures like in the mid-summer are registered across the state.

Due to the weak monsoon impact, this adverse climate conditions are prevailed and will continue for another seven days. The day temperatures are crossing 40 degrees Celsius and also touching 43 at various places in the state.

Due to the north and westerly dry wind, this type of anti-climate conditions are prevailing. At present, there is no possibilities of rains,” one of the scientists of Cyclone Warning Centre, Visakhapatnam told The Hans India.
