Stop false propaganda on Polavaram, Devineni to Jagan

Vijayawada: Minister for water resources Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao came down heavily on Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for making false allegations on the Polavaram project works.
Speaking to media here on Thursday, he said that nearly 9,000 workers were participating in the project works daily. He wondered how the Opposition leader can term the Polavaram project work as a ‘drama’ and said the comments of Jagan will hurt the morale among thousands of workers and engineers working at the site.
He took strong objection to the comments of Jagan that there was no progress in Polavaram project. Stating that nearly Rs 8,619 crore was spent on the project, he said that 22,000 farmers visited the Polavaram project site so far. He asked the Opposition leader to stop spreading lies to public and added the people would teach a fitting lesson to Jagan if he did not stop false campaign against the state government.
