VMC Commissioner J Nivas instructed the staff to prepare designs and plan to transform Bandar canal bunds by creating entertainment and a pleasant atmosphere to the people here on Friday.
Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner J Nivas instructed the staff to prepare designs and plan to transform Bandar canal bunds by creating entertainment and a pleasant atmosphere to the people here on Friday.
He said that greenery, theme garden, open air theatre, cultural park and walking track would be established on the bunds of Bandar canal.
The commissioner along with Greening and Beautification Corporation MD Chandramohan Reddy conducted a field level inspection of the Bandar canal bund beautification.
He instructed the officers to create fencing on the canal bund near Krishnalanka police station.
He instructed the officials to develop greenery along with a walking tract at Krishnalanka police station and provide boating facility at the bund near freedom-fighters building.
He said that attractive lighting system should be developed on the bunds besides erecting bore wells wherever required.
Horticulture department officer Pradeep Kumar, deputy executive engineer Koteswara Rao, Greenery and beautification assistant director Y Rama Rao and others were present.
