Visakhapatnam: Chandrampalem Zilla Parishad High School near Madhurawada, which falls under the constituency of HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, registered excellent results in SSC by achieving 10/10 points in 2018. Furthermore, eight students from the school were selected for IIIT Nuzuvid in 2017. Similarly, students were excelling in sports and extracurricular activities for the past four years.

The school is now conducting nine sections for SSC-2019 batch with 72 to 80 students. As the school is securing good results, locals are keen in admitting their wards in this school. The school had already set up a benchmark by admitting over 3,000 students every year for the past five years.

In the past, the government had conducted ‘Amma Ki Vandanam’ programme on the school premises in which Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu was present and announced that buildings and classrooms would be constructed but it was not implemented.

The primary class students speaking to The Hans India, Head Master of Zilla Parishad High School Raja Babu said that already almost all seats in English medium were filled up and only a few seats were left, while for Telugu medium the process of admission will be continued for another week.

District educational officer B Lingeshwar Reddy said that earlier junior college was functioning on the school precincts, but after school administration appealed the education department, the junior college building was vacated and allocated to the school.

The district officials are planning to construct another four classrooms on the school premises. He further stated that there are 312 digital classrooms at various schools in the district and 210 virtual classrooms were sanctioned by the government which will function in 2018-19 academic year, he added.
