Iconic building to stand tall as identity for Telugus
Foundation stone for the 33-floor iconic building in Amaravati capital city will be laid by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on June 22. The building is coming up adjacent to the administrative capital city location at Rayapudi village limits in Amaravati.

The building has several unique facilities, including revolving restaurant and international commercial shopping spaces. Flags of as many as 93 countries are already set up in front of the proposed building site as a special attraction. All countries are getting representation in the iconic building for various business purposes.
The building is designed in ‘A’ shape, the first letter of the capital city – Amaravati.
The project cost is estimated at Rs 400 crore and the building will be constructed in five acres. All the countries will have offices and representation separately in the building.
The project will provide employment to as many as 5,000 persons. The biggest convention centre and largest shopping area also would be provided in the building.
All the world-famous software companies and educational institutions would start their establishments in the iconic building. One amphitheatre will also be constructed to provide space for youth activities.
The revolving restaurant will come up between 25th and 26th floor. The visitors can have a bird’s eye view of Amaravati capital from the restaurant. It will be a great experience and relaxation facility to people of Amaravati as well as visitors.
All the facilities, including international standard shopping provisions will be available and already some of them have expressed interest to start their setups. The building will be not only the first iconic tower in the capital but also the biggest commercial establishment.
The building will be constructed by taking suggestions and plans from Singapore-based construction agency. Already plans are designed to utilise platinum-rated gold building technology. It reduces the power consumption drastically. Moreover, greenery would be developed on roof tops of the buildings and water can be treated under purification system.
Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugus (APNRT) president Vemuri Ravi Kumar, speaking to The Hans India, said that the building works would start from June 22 with a target to complete the project within 15 months. The skeletal steel structure would be completed in five months, he said.
The main aim of the construction of iconic building in Amaravati is to give an identity for Telugus across the world. They should feel it is their building, he added. The building would stand as a bridge between NRIs and the government, Ravi said and added that it would provide business opportunities to Telugus abroad by providing employment in motherland.
