TDP plans huge meets to decimate BJP

Amaravati: Intent on taking the to the cleaners, the Telugu Desam Party has decided to organise huge public meetings at Kadapa, Anantapur, Visakhapatnam and Amravati to unleBJPash a fresh offensive against the saffron party for denying the benefits due to the state under the AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014.

The trigger being the Centre's affidavit in the Supreme Court that Kadapa steel plant is not economically feasible for it to take it up. At these meetings, the party would focus on one specific issue that is relevant to the area concerned.

For instance, in Amaravati, it is the unhelpful attitude of the Centre in releasing funds for the construction of capital, in Kadapa, the denial of the steel plant, in Anantapur, the delay in release of funds under the backward areas development plan and finally, in Visakhapatnam, for going back on the promise of creation of a railway zone with Vizag as its headquarters.

Apart from these issues, major promises, including special category status and funds for the Polavaram project too would be raised at these public meetings.
