Tirumala: Describing the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara as the “Temple of Oneness and Unity of India”, Union minister of railways and coal Piyush Goyal complimented the temple administration for maintaining orderliness in pilgrim crowd management.

The Union minister, along with his spouse, had a darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Friday. After the Vedasirvachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam, Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju offered him teertha, prasadams and presented lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara.

Speaking to media persons outside the temple, the minister said the darshan of the Lord is very enlightening and reinforces his commitment to discharge his duties with more responsibility.

The way in which the temple is being managed - temple board, the temple management, the swachta of temple, performance of pujas by priests and the orderly behaviour of pilgrims - makes this temple unique among all in the country," he added.
