Kakinada: The body of a Nigerian student Ibrahim, 19, pursuing engineering in East Godavari, who went missing in sea waters at Uppada in U-Kothapalli mandal here, was yet to be traced.

According to sources, eight students of Nigerian origin, two of them women studying second year B Tech at Aditya Engineering College at Surampalem, in Peddapuram mandal in East Godavari, went on a pleasure trip to Uppada beach on Sunday. While six male members ventured into sea to take bath, the two women members stayed on shore.

Of the six, two students Immanuel and Ibrahim went missing in sea waters. While the body of Immanuel, 21, fished out of sea waters, the search for the second student Ibrahim is going on.

According to Kakinada sub-division police officer Ravi Varma, expert swimmers were engaged to trace the missing student. The body of Immanuel was sent to Kakinada government hospital for post-mortem.
