Darsi: As part of the public outreach initiatives, the Road Transport Authority officials and police personnel have been visiting the villages conducting awareness programmes and issuing spot LLRs to the learning drivers.

On Tuesday, the department organized LLR Melas in East Gangavaram and other villages in the district.

Darsi DSP K Nageswara Rao inaugurated the LLR Mela and awareness camp held at the high school in the East Gangavaram and explained the public about the road safety and importance of following traffic rules and guidelines.

Darsi CI M Srinivasa Rao, Tallur SI D Ranganath, AMVIs Seshureddy and Karthik explained the uses of wearing helmet and having a valid license along with other related documents of the vehicle.

They said that these documents plays an importance role even in case of minor accident and comes to the rescue of the family of the driver, if it was a major accident.

The RTA and police personnel conducted the tests and issued LLR certificates to the successful learners.

The DSP Nagaeswara Rao and CI Srinivasa Rao presented the LLRs to the male drivers while the sarpanch Malliswari presented the learning licenses to the female drivers.

The public appreciated the initiative of the transport and police department and thanked the officials for saving them from the brokers.

They wished the same spirit continues in the issue of permanent driving license also.
