As many as 229 candidates were offered jobs and another 56 were shortlisted for employment in various companies in the mega job mela held at Ongole on Wednesday, announced Shaik Meeravali, manager of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation in Prakasam district.
Ongole: As many as 229 candidates were offered jobs and another 56 were shortlisted for employment in various companies in the mega job mela held at Ongole on Wednesday, announced Shaik Meeravali, manager of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation in Prakasam district.
He announced that 450 candidates attended for the job mela held by APSSDC and DRDA at the TTDC Training Center, Velugu Offcie in Ongole from 9 am to 5 pm. He said that the companies-- Caxton Private Limited, Premier Health Care, Kallam Group of Companies, Flipkart, VR Enterprises, Click2Clinic, Eureka Forbes and others-- conducted the recruitments.
While Kallam Group selected 35, Caxton selected 16, Premier Health Care selected 36, VR Enterprises selected 35, Eureka Forbes 18 and Flipkart selected 12 candidates. The other companies recruited the remaining candidates, said Meeravali.
He announced that they would be conducting similar job mela in each Assembly constituency in the district with the help of local MLA and asked the unemployed to utilise the services of APSSDC.
The DRDA project director, M Murali appreciated the efforts of the APSSDC and asked the unemployed in the district to participate in job melas and join a job.
He appreciated the successful candidates in the job mela and handed over offer letters to them.
