DGP rules out presence of Parthi gang in State

Kadapa: Ruling out presence of notorious Parthi gang in the state, director general of police (DGP) M Malakondaiah urged the people not to take law into their hands by attacking innocent people suspecting them to be members of criminal gangs. The DGP, who stopped here briefly on Tuesday while on his way to Anantapur, said attacking suspected criminals was wrong and unlawful.

However, Malakondaiah admitted that police arrested some notorious gangs which migrated from Madhya Pradesh a few months ago and sent them to jail. “I am appealing to people not to resort to attacks on the innocent people as it will be inhuman and against the law. Police do not spare those responsible for such attacks and deal with them sternly,” he warned.

Expressing satisfaction over law and order situation in Kadapa, he directed the district police to concentrate on cybercrimes, mainly regarding bank transactions. He advised people not to disclose their bank account details even to managers as miscreants can pose as bank authorities to steal the details of depositors’ accounts.

He said police department was taking steps to bring notorious red sanders offender Sahul Bhai to the state very soon. He cautioned the district administration to concentrate on law and order problem in view of coming elections. The process of setting up SHE teams to prevent eve teasing in all districts has almost been completed, he said.

Malakondaiah said model police station constructed in Kadapa would be inaugurated very soon. On this occasion, DGP felicitated the police officials who played a role in foiling red sanders smuggling in the district and announced rewards to them. District SP Babujee Attada and others were present.
