Tirupati: With an aim to provide job opportunities to the students pursuing various courses in TTD educational institutions, the Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar called up on the faculty to train them in skill development. A training programme on skill development jointly organised by TTD Vidyadana Trust and Art of Living’s Sri Sri Rural Development Trust in SVETA building on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the JEO said that though the children are coming out successfully from their academic career scoring high marks, they are unable to convert the same in earning jobs due to their inability to express. “The lack of soft skills is impacting on their professional careers,” he felt. Under the instructions of TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, the students belonging to TTD educational institutions will be trained in soft skills to build their careers.

The JEO said, in the first training programme, the students of SGS Arts, SV Arts and SPWDPG colleges are invited. The teachers would also be given the training tips by the skill development experts, so that they can train their students in soft skills, he added. Sri Sri Development Trust Director Digvijay said, along with the three-year degree course, a special syllabus has been designed to train the students in soft skills. This includes time management, character building etc., DEO Ramachandra was also present.
