Lokesh, Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy, ZP chairperson Geervani Chandra Prakash, Chittoor MP N Siva Prasad and Collector PS Pradyumna addressed the people who gathered at Rallabudugur where he was accorded a tumultuous welcome.

Lokesh likened his father to a tireless soldier working for the development of the state and observed `we are all helper sand have to strengthen his hands.’’ He is 68 but unmindful of his age, he is slogging for us and we all should extend full support to him,’’he averred.

The Rural Development department had spent Rs 228 crore on variousworks in the villages in the constituency and also decided to provideunderground drainage system in the villages having more than 5,000 population in Kuppam constituency in threemonths and alsoindividual tap connection to all houses in the constituency forsupply of safe drinking water, he said Explaining the government initiatives in Kuppam constituency for its all round development, he said that Rs 80 crore was provided for extending road network in which already Rs 40 crorehad been spent to improve road facility in Kuppam area.

While construction of 2000 houses completed against 3,600 allocated totheconstituency. He interacted with the public to know whether the supply of essentialis regular, old age pensions are paidand also on the usage of toiletsby the villagers. Replying to a representation for construction ofShadikana for the Muslims, he said he will take it to the notice of Chief Ministerfor approval.

He opened NTR Sujala plant in the village. He also inaugurated the newlyconstructed ITI building in Timisi. At MarvadCross, he addressed a meeting where he welcomed 50 YSR Congress activists who left the party to join TDP in the presence ofthe minister.

At Nulukunta village, Lokesh spoke with the labourers engaged in construction of farm pond under NREGS before inaugurating the newlyconstructed Panchayat office in the village. The workers sought toincrease the employment under NREGS to 150 days and also paymentthrough post office.

In Mallanur also he declared open the newly constructed Panchayat officebuilding, NTR Sujala plant and AP Fiber Grid Graphic Y Brand in thevillage. During his busy schedule, Lokesh covered more than two dozen villages where in some places, women welcomed him with Harathi andto the accompaniment of music and dance.
