Tirupati: Jaap Werner, Consul General of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Bengaluru visited Sri City on Thursday. Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation extended a warm welcome, and briefed him on the infrastructure, unique features and the brisk pace of development in Sri City. He mentioned that Hunter Douglas and Paques Group have already set up their production units in Sri City. Thanking the Sri City management for arranging the visit, Jaap Werner said Sri City was built with good ecosystem.

“This place is suitable for foreign companies, including the Netherlands. I will be very happy to recommend Sri City strongly to the Dutch companies,” he stated. Commenting on the visit of Jaap Werner, Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City said India has been ranked 'the best' for investment by all global agencies.

Netherlands is the India's fourth largest trading partner in the European Union and one of the top five investors, he mentioned. Stating that interaction of this kind will further enhance business ties between the two countries, he said, adding that he is confident of Consul General's visit would pave way for some more investments in Sri City from Netherlands.

The purpose of the visit was to see the business city in person and have the first-hand knowledge of the progress achieved. During the interaction, the Consul General evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City. Following the briefing session, the Consul General went round the industrial park and visited the production units of Hunter Douglas and Paques.
