Vijayawada: BC Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman N Venkata Ramana said that they would start a political party under the leadership of Krishnaiah in August. Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, he demanded that all the political parties should give 50 per cent reservation to BCs in legislative bodies. The BCs would get justice if 50 per cent reservation was provided in legislative bodies, he said.

Venkata Ramana said that all the political parties were utilising the BCs as their vote bank. The BCs were still facing backwardness, he pointed out. The BC JAC leaders would tour all the constituencies, he said and added that district-wise committees would be appointed for organising their activities.

Seminars and meetings would be conducted in all the major cities in the State, he said. He also said that they would extend support to the party which makes announcement towards 50 per cent reservation to BCs in politics. BC Welfare Association national president P Rama Rao, state vice-president Venkata Satyanarayana, other leaders Dr Maresh, Nookalamma, Sitaratnam, Purnachabdra Rao and Paritala Ramu were also present.
