Venu Gopala Rao, a student of city-based Skill Development Institute-Arilova (ADI-A), was selected for national-level skills competition under Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade to be conducted in New Delhi from July 21.

Visakhapatnam: Venu Gopala Rao, a student of city-based Skill Development Institute-Arilova (ADI-A), was selected for national-level skills competition under Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade to be conducted in New Delhi from July 21.

Venu Gopala Rao was selected to this prestigious competition after winning South India level competitions held at Bengaluru on June 22. He competed with participants represented from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana and bagged the award. Gopala Rao received the award from Ananta Kumar Hegde, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

In-charge SDI-A, C V Narasimha Das informed that the institution being run by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has set many such records within a short span of time.

This latest achievement of Rao would be an inspiration to other trainees in the institute, he said and complimented the winner, parents and faculty for their efforts. Das wished Venu Gopala Rao to see him in the finals to be held at Russia in 2019.
