Panchayat Raj department announced ‘File Clearance Week’ from June 25 to July 1. Minister Nara Lokesh informed that as the department has 4,496 pending files, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the department to clear all the files within a week and hence he took the decision. There are about 1,970 files pending for the last couple of months.

Amaravati: Panchayat Raj department announced ‘File Clearance Week’ from June 25 to July 1. Minister Nara Lokesh informed that as the department has 4,496 pending files, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the department to clear all the files within a week and hence he took the decision. There are about 1,970 files pending for the last couple of months.

It is estimated that the total pending files are about 2.8 per cent of all the files received by the department. On the other hand, there are 183 files kept pending in the Information Technology department. Out of all these pending files, there are 9 files pending for the last 60 days. These pending files are estimated to be about 0.39 per cent of the total files.

Nara Lokesh, Minister for both IT and Panchayat Raj departments, requested officials concerned to clear all these pending files within this week and turn into a role model for the rest of the departments at the Secretariat.
