Amaravati: TDP is going to organise cycle and bike rallies across the State on Tuesday demanding Kadapa Steel Plant. This protest is in support of the indefinite hunger strike of Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh and MLC B Tech Ravi.

The party will organise protests on the streets across the State on Wednesday and the party MPs will stage protest in New Delhi on Thursday. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu said that the five crore people in the State were supporting the TDP for the cause of Kadapa Steel.

“There must be protests in Delhi too, in front of Union government offices,” he said, while speaking with the Kadapa district leaders and party MPs on Monday in a teleconference. The Chief Minister criticised the Centre for its indifference towards unfulfilled assurances.

The two fasting leaders said that they would continue the strike indefinitely until the establishment of the steel plant is confirmed. The Kadapa Steel Plant was one of the assurances promised in the AP Reorganisation Act. Blaming YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu said that the Opposition Leader was doing name sake protests.
