The East Godavari police arrested five inter-district robbers’ gang and recovered property worth of Rs 64.75 lakh from their possession.
Kakinada: The East Godavari police arrested five inter-district robbers’ gang and recovered property worth of Rs 64.75 lakh from their possession.
Disclosing the details of the arrests and recovery of property, East Godavari SP, Vishal Gunni on Monday said that the five accused are Seela Anil Kumar, Kosuri Ramakrishna, Narava Rammohan, BondaSatish Kumar and Bonda Durga Parameswari.
The SP said that out of the five, the first three committed more than 50 offences at several areas in East, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Krishna districts. The last two Satish Kumar and Paramaswari were arrested for keeping the stolen property with them.
The recovered property includes 2.117 kgs gold jewelry, 3.85 kilos of silver ornaments and Rs 2 lakh in cash.The SP patted CCS DSP A Pallapu Raju, Peddapuram DSP Ch Rama Rao and their staff in the recovery. Vishal Gunni said that these officers and men would be awarded suitably.
The SP, on this occasion, advised the public to ensure proper locking system to their households in their absence and arrange for CCTV coverage to have firsthand knowledge of movement of people particularly strangers in the vicinity.
