Dr Rajyalakshmi said that under the RBSK programme, the children below 18 years of age would be tested by the mobile health teams for the defects at birth, diseases, deficiencies and development delays including disabilities. She said that the children would be tested at the Aanganwadi centers, government and recognised schools, junior colleges and welfare hostels in the district.

The DMHO said that the children would be tested once for every six months and their progress would be recorded in the health book. She said that the children diagnosed with illness would receive follow up treatment including surgeries at the district early intervention centers and would be sent to super specialty hospitals if required.
