Guntur: Urban police arrested 7-member cheating gang who promised jobs in the railways and other Central government departments to the unemployed youth. The gang collected huge amount from the jobless youth and later cheated them.

Police recovered Rs. 51,44,000 cash, seven ATM cards, 9 cell phones and a car valued at Rs. 6,44,000 from the arrested persons. According to Guntur urban Superintendent of Police, Ch Vijaya Rao, the accused are Mohammed Imran, Moghal Sohal, P Balakotaiah, N Nagakumar, M Venkata Reddy, A Nagaseshagiri and Shaik Kareemullah.

They meet un-employed persons and assure them jobs in the railways, and other Central government wings and collected Rs. 1.7 crore from 48 un-employed persons. They have taken some jobless persons to Kolkata. After the aspirants completed RRB Examination, the gang members gave them fake appointment orders and cheated them.

The culprits collected Rs.6-lakh form each person to provide job. The police arrested the accused and recovered cash Rs. 51,44,000 , 7 ATM cards and 9 cell phones and one car from their possession. Special team personnel are going to Calcutta to arrest another accused Amulya. Nallapadu police registered the case and took up investigation.
