Haribabu distributes tri-cycles
BJP National Executive Member and MP K Haribabu presented battery-operated tri-cycles to the physically challenged here on Tuesday. The Central government is sponsoring the battery-operated tri-cycles to the physically challenged under the project ADEEP.Â

Each vehicle costs around Rs 37,000 in which the Central government is sharing Rs 25,000 and asking the beneficiary to share rest of Rs 12,000. However, MP Haribabu from his MPLads recommended to the government to utilise Rs 12,000 as beneficiary’s share.
Finally, the vehicles distributed to the beneficiaries free of cost. MP Haribabu presented 93 vehicles to the 93 beneficiaries on Tuesday. Earlier, the MP presented 50 vehicles to the physically challenged.
Speaking on the occasion, Haribabu said that the BJP government distributed similar battery-operated tri-cycles to 1,200 beneficiaries across the country since 2015. The beneficiary, who is suffering from 80 per cent disability, is eligible to get the battery-operated tri-cycle, he added.
MLA P Vishnukumar Raju, MLC PVN Madhav, BJP City Unit President M Nagendra, Superintendent of KGH Arjuna and BJP senior leader Gundu Raghubabu were present.
