Amaravati: The state government has set July 5 as Muhurtam to conduct housewarming ceremonies for three lakh houses. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed that all housewarming ceremonies be conducted in all districts in festive mood.

Naidu will start the programme in Vijayawada on July 5. Stating that entering three lakh new houses in all Assembly constituencies on one day was a milestone, minister for rural housing Kalava Srinivasulu urged the beneficiaries to make occasion a grand success.

Srinivasulu said that around four lakh houses were built in the state between April 2017 and June, 2018 and housewarming ceremony had been conducted for one lakh houses in October, 2017.

The minister accused YSR Congress of hobnobbing with BJP and pointed out the comments of YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on early elections. “Jaganmohan Reddy spoke about early elections as he was being given enough information by BJP to prepare for early polls.

He wanted his party leaders to prepare for general elections within six months even as around one year remains for the same. This proves the secret agreement of YSRC with the BJP,” he said.

Stating that Jagan had not demanded BJP Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh during Presidential elections for which he had extended support to BJP, Srinivasulu also said it was all part of secret understanding with the BJP.

He alleged that the BJP was implementing its agenda though YSR Congress and both the BJP and YSRC leaders raise same issues to create troubles for state government. “Jagan has mortgaged state interests to Delhi to get relief from CBI cases,” he said.
