Ongole: Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and senior civil judge T Raja Venkatadri advised the inmates of the district jail not to fall prey to the drugs and ruin their lives.

Speaking as chief guest at a programme organised by the DLSA at the district jail observing the International Day Against Drug Abuse, Raja Venkatadri said that use of drugs in any form, like ganja, tobacco, alcohol and others, would cost the health, finance and social reputation.

He said that use of drugs was resulting in the increase of crime and road accidents in the country. He announced that about 20 crore people were addicted to drugs in one form or another and it was the responsibility of everyone to eradicate drugs.

Mobile magistrate B Vanisri, jailor P S Ramachandra Rao, lawyer D Rajendra Prasad, paralegal volunteer BV Sagar also participated in the programme.
