Vijayawada: The new political force is being formed as an alternative to ruling Telugu Desam and Opposition YSR Congress Party, said CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said that the Left parties and Jana Sena would join hands to start an alternative political force.
Senior leaders of CPM and CPI BV Raghavulu and A Raja jointly took decision in this regard in the recent political seminar conducted by the Left parties with peoples' organisations.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan also accepted to work with the Left parties. Ramakrishna said that already he discussed the issue with the Jana Sena chief for two hours. The other parties like Loksatta, Aam Aadmi, BSP, Republican Party and Forward Block would work with them for common cause.

The new political force is needed in the state. The people's organisations would come and join us for creating a better society, he said. The CPI leader also said that the ruling Telugu Desam and Opposition YSR Congress Party failed to render justice to people.

Both the parties encouraged money-based politics, he said and added that the situation has changed to the extent that there is no place for politics without money.

He said that the Left parties would play an important role in the formation of new outfit. Some prominent persons may come forward to work with them in near future, he adds.
