Kakinada: Merit awards sponsored by AP government for 190 students were presented at JNTU-K senate hall on Wednesday. Out of the total awards, 114 were for undergraduate students and 76 for postgraduate students.

Vice-chancellor S Ramakrishna Rao presented these merit awards to students.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramakrishna Rao said that several measures had been initiated for overall skill development particularly entrepreneur skills for the students.

Prof Rao handed over gold medal, merit certificate and Rs 20,000 cash award to all the 190 students who won the awards.

University registrar Prof VV Subba Rao, OSD Prof KV Ramana, DAP Prof Satyanarayana and others participated.
