Pay compensation by July 15
District Collector PS Pradyumna has directed the Srikalahasti Devasthanam authorities to speed up the process of clearing payments relating to the denizens, who handed over their properties to implement master plan. He asked them to clear the process by July 15 while reviewing the progress at a meeting held in Tirupati on Tuesday.

Temple Executive Officer S Ramaswamy has explained that Rs 94.18 crore has to be paid as compensation in lieu of 199 properties so far Rs 27.5 crore was paid. Devasthanam has to receive applications for compensation from 42 more people, who were not available presently.
The Collector has made it clear that total compensation has to be paid before July 15 and land should be in possession of Devasthanam. Tirupati Municipal Commissioner Vijaya Rama Raju, RDO G Narasimhulu, Temple EE I Venkata Narayana, Srikalahasti Municipal Chairman Parthasarathy, Superintendent P Lokesh Babu and others participated.
