‘Speed up UGD, road-widening works’
District Collector and Special Officer Kona Sasidhar directed the officials to speed up underground drainage (UGP) works and road widening works in Guntur city.
Guntur: District Collector and Special Officer Kona Sasidhar directed the officials to speed up underground drainage (UGP) works and road widening works in Guntur city.
He conducted a review meeting with the officials in his office in Guntur on Wednesday.
He reviewed the progress of Amaravati Road, Lalpuram Road, Ponnur Road and Eturkur Road from Chuttugunta to Masjid.
Speaking on this occasion, he instructed the officials to take up road widening works without causing inconvenience to the public and in a planned way. He also said that UGD works should be taken up without any difficulty to people.
He stressed on coordination between traffic police and GMC officials. He instructed to concentrate on encroachments. He said that he would not compromise on quality in UGD works.
GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar, R&B SE Madhavi Sukanya and others were present.
