Kadapa: Municipal Minister P Narayana has said the government would complete the construction of 5 lakh houses for the poor in the next 15 months and hand over the same to the beneficiaries.

Narayana along with Marketing Minister Adinarayana Reddy has inspected the houses being built for the poor under the Housing for All scheme at Housing Colony here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Narayana has mentioned that houses are being constructed with shear wall technology.

The Minister stated each beneficiary would be handed over a double bedroom house with a subsidy of Rs 4 lakh. To make poor happy, every house is being constructed keeping internal infrastructure, external infrastructure and social infrastructure in mind so that the beneficiaries can enjoy all the facilities, he mentioned.

Adinarayana Reddy made an appeal to people to make use of Housing for All scheme as it would be rare opportunity to own houses for cheaper cost. Later, the Ministers inspected the sites at ZP office, old bus stand and municipal office where Anna canteens are proposed. Municipal officials and TDP leaders were present.
