Woman cries foul over official apathy
A woman, who had come to meet Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with her deaf and dumb daughter, was denied permission to meet the Chief Minister at the NTR Greenfield Stadium at Timmapuram in Amudalavalasa mandal on Thursday.
Srikakulam: A woman, who had come to meet Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with her deaf and dumb daughter, was denied permission to meet the Chief Minister at the NTR Greenfield Stadium at Timmapuram in Amudalavalasa mandal on Thursday.
According to reports, Sahukari Neelima of Cheedivalasa village in Burja mandal in Amudalavalasa Assembly segment reached the public meeting venue along with her eight-year-old daughter, Varshini.
She believed the words of her village Cheedivalasa TDP leaders and functionaries and reached the venue to request the Chief Minister for financial aid for treatment of her daughter. She said that her husband Narayana Rao is working as a van driver and she is working as a daily wage worker.
They are blessed with three daughters and physically challenged Varshini is the elder daughter. After reaching the public meeting venue, she asked the police and the TDP leaders to meet the Chief Minister, but they denied permission. “I have been denied aid from the government though I approached the leaders and officials many times”, Neelima told The Hans India.
