Workshop on lace-making concludes in Eluru

Eluru: Two-day training-cum-workshop on lace-making for BBA students was concluded at St Teresa Women’s College here on Friday.

Speaking at the inaugural of the workshop, Principal Sister Mercy urged the students to learn different skills apart from pursuing education.

D Lakshmi and D Krishnaveni who came from Tanuku imparted to students about various skills in lace-making. Trainer Lakshmi had secured many awards by organising exhibitions in India and abroad.

While the students learned basics on the lace-making on Thursday, they acquired skills in making flowers on laces and making caps.

Controller of Examination Sister Sunita patted the management department of the college for arranging the programme for the benefit of students. She thanked DWCRA members for training their students in lace-making skills.
