Kurnool: Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Chairman of the AP Legislative Public Accounts Committee and YSRCP MLA, led a massive rally with party leaders and workers in Dhone town on Saturday.

Later, the YSRCP cadre staged an agitation in front of a police station, demanding the Police department to control crime rate in the district. Buggana has alleged that cops have become servants to the ruling TD leaders and are least concerned to give protection to the common people.

He accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of encouraging political murders, land grabbing, sand mafia and settlements. He made police responsible for deteriorating law and order in Dhone Assembly constituency for the last four years.

“People are losing faith in the Police department and fearing to approach police stations to seek justice,” he said, adding police stations have become dens for settlements.

To highlight the police failure in controlling the crime rate in Andhra Pradesh, a peace rally would be organised in the entire state, he mentioned. Later, Buggana handed over a representation to Dhone DSP S Khader Basha.
