Anantapur: CPI national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy stated that his party would work for emergence of non-BJP parties alliance. Discussions are yet to be held with parties on the issue and the ball will be set rolling at an appropriate time, he said.
Addressing a press conference held in connection with Dr Neelam Rajasekhar Reddy birth anniversary celebrations here on Monday, Suravaram said that as of now, his party is busy launching a series of agitations against the ruling BJP government.
The party will join hands with non-BJP parties as part of its fight against communal forces. We will have alliance with parties that work with us at the state level, he said in reply to a question on whether CPI will have alliance with Jana Sena.
The CPI general secretary said his party is opposed to holding simultaneous polls for Lok Sabha and state Assemblies. On the eradication of black money and bringing back money stashed in Swiss banks, Suravaram said that a mere Rs.1088 crore of black money was reportedly brought back from Swiss banks and cases were filed against 15 out of the 58 charge-sheeted out of the Rs.71 lakh crores of black money that was supposed to be in foreign banks.
The Swiss Bank has Rs.7,000 crores of black money, he opined. Suravaram flayed the Narendra Modi government of colluding with the accused Lalit Modi, Neerav Modi and Vijay Mallya who were responsible for derailing of the economy.
