Addressing the media here on Wednesday, the Minister said the leaders were saying the Centre had allocated huge funds for the state not mentioning how much really, they had released.
He also asked for the details of support from the Centre to the farming sector as part of waiver for maize, jowar, chilli, turmeric, and mango crops. He said they were spending Rs 1,380 crore for APMIP in the state in which the Centre had to supported at least 60 per cent. Actually, the AP government had received only 30 per cent, he said.
He criticised that atrocities against women have increased in northern states and the situation in Andhra Pradesh is safe, He mentioned anti-Prime Minister wave is growing across the country significantly and the party has to check about it. He said they had distributed computers to the ADAs with Rs 5 crore for speeding up works. He also stated they had given 4,354 tabs to the MPAOs for collecting data and transferring from the field.
The Minister said they were providing 90 per cent subsidy for drip irrigation in the state, bagging the second position across the country. He mentioned the Chief Minister announced an additional support of Rs 7.5 per kg for Totapuri mango and farmers of Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa district would be benefited. He said modern technology, buildings and other support are being provided to the Agriculture department.
